In situ oil sands group seeks alternative name - June 4, 2010
Dina O'Meara, Calgary Herald
The In Situ Oil Sands Alliance is looking for a new name to peg on non-mined bitumen, saying a clear distinction needs to be made between the two major types of oilsands production.
The key is finding a moniker that's catchy and easy to understand, unlike in situ, steam-assisted gravity drainage, THAI or LASAR, said group chairman Glen Schmidt.
