His Calgary-based company Laricina Energy Ltd. may not have produced a drop of oil as of May (its projects are in pilot and commercial development stages), but president and CEO Glen Schmidt has been preoccupied with another venture. Schmidt is the chairman of the In Situ Oil Sands Alliance (IOSA), a united front of up-and-coming oil sands developers.
